In βI Was Thereβ 3MB provides a first hand account of a things we attend.
TNA kicked off its debut on Destination America by having a series of shows at the Manhattan Center. They started with a live IMPACT on Wednesday and ended with a double header on Friday: an episode of IMPACT and their PPVonTV, TNA Lockdown.
Both the IMPACT episode and Lockdown had the Manhattan Center buzzing. The TNA Knockouts put on an amazing display as Taryn Terrell successfully defended her Knockouts title against Gail Kim and Madison Rayne.
At TNA Lockdown, every match takes place inside a steel cage.Wrestlers like Tryus used it to their advantage when placed in matches with a handicap. As he took on Rockstar Spud and Mandrews, the bodyguard of Ethan Carter III, deliver a splash to Mandrews when he stuck between a rock (Tyrus) and a hard place (the steel cage).
The main event is a match called Lethal Lockdown, which is like WCW’s War Games but with Weapons. Team Angle – Kurt Angle, Austin Aries, Gunner and TNA Champion Bobby Lashley – took on The Beat Down Crew – MVP, Kenny King, Samoa Joe and Low-Ki – inside the six sides of steel, alternating entrants until all 8 men wreaked havoc in the ring. But speaking of Havok, the Knockouts stole the night at Lockdown.
3MB wants to Highlight The IWC; No NotΒ thatΒ IWC. The Illustrated Wrestling Community
Previously, we showcased Artist Eddie Nieves aka Eadgery, who created a gallery of tributes to WWE Fallen Superstars like Mr Perfect Curt Hennig, the Junkyard Dog and Eddie Guerrero. A member of our 3ManBooth Elite – @Sal_Paradyse – informed us of another artist – ilovedust – that is doing a similar tribute theme: The Dead Wrestler Society. One of ilovedust’s pieces is a tribute to Kerry Von Erich, famously known as the Texas Tornado:
ilovedust captures the power of the tornado and the wrestler, which is how he earned that nickname. ilovedust has fun with the details as well. The Tornado is sucks up everything in sight: the car, the silo, the oil rig, everything but Kerry Von Erich. Plus, the telephone lines under the Texas Tornado serve as a hint to the ring ropes of a wrestling ring.
Backstage: The Authority is talking about Stephanie McMahon’s DVD when Seth Rollins walks in and compliments them on their plan. Rollins asks about Daniel Bryan and if they’re considering Bryan as number one contender. Steph assures Rollins to have faith. Triple H switches the conversation to Randy Orton, saying that Orton never appreciated the Authority’s opportunities. Rollins brags about taking out Randy Orton, then says he’ll defeat Daniel Bryan tonight and face Roman Reigns at Fast Lane.
Uh-oh. The Authority said Randy Orton's name 3 times. That means Randy Orton's showing up. #RAW
Bray Wyatt says he’s been called many names in the past, seducer accuser, destroyer, but says you may call him Bray. Bray Wyatt says he’s been watching someone for quite some time and how they used to fear this person but the fear turned into love and admiration. Bray Wyatt says calls himself different and the new face of fear.
New Face Of Fear? Bray Wyatt better not be calling out Meng. Because that's a fight he's gonna lose…#RAW
Bray Wyatt says the Devil is real and can’t wait to see this person again. Bray Wyatt says he knows this person is listening, then tells this person to find him.
Bray Wyatt is calling out either The Undertaker or his Mother. #RAW
Lana takes the mic and invites the WWE Universe to a very special movie premiere. Lana calls this video a cinematic treat in a cold, harsh, reality. Lana says the film will show the future of John Cena and any man who opposes the Super Athlete Rusev.
Roman Reigns says he doesn’t get mad, he gets even. Bryan tells Reigns to not to bank on getting his revenge at Fast Lane because he’s going to be facing Daniel Bryan. Reigns asks if that’s a threat, then says he doesn’t care who he faces at Fast Lane. Reigns tells Daniel Bryan he’s going to win at Fast Lane and go to Wrestlemania, whether the world or Daniel Bryan likes it or not.
But Alicia Fox and Cameron losing can’t be the reason why Nikki Bella is so upset with Paige, right? It might the reason why Alicia and Cameron don’t like each other on road trips but that doesn’t really affect the Bellas. Nikki says she doesn’t like the “Anti-Diva” because she doesn’t like dresses or take things too seriously. Does this look like someone who doesn’t take things seriously?
Okay, maybe they have a point. OR, the real reason might stem from the Nassau Coliseum. Paige was the special guest referee in a match where the Bellas where in tag team competition against Alicia Fox and Emma.
And even though Nikki Bella is the Divas Champion, as Referee, the ring is Paige’s house!
This is something that the Bellas took issue with. They accused Paige of being a biased referee, going as far as to exchange words and a few shoves. Well, never cross Paige in HER HOUSE. One quick count later (as requested) and the Bellas lost the match!
So maybe Total Divas isn’t Total Paige… yet. There’s still plenty of drama surrounding Nattie, Eva Marie, Cameron, Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox and the Bellas. But, the addition of Paige has definitely been a welcome sight. And, Nikki, while you’re focused on Paige taking your Total Divas spotlight, she’ll be too busy taking your Divas title.
