Maybe Seth was in a bad mood because the last time he was at the IZOD Center, he was in the Shield. Ambrose and Reigns have a bit of a reunion. They teamed up to face the Eater of Worlds Bray Wyatt and the Ruiner of Things, Big Show. Roman walked the stairs for the last timeΒ and Dean Ambrose went all “lunatic fringe” (we’re not sure what it means either); but the remaining brothers of the Shield were ready to tear the roof off the IZOD Center.
Big Show and Bray Wyatt tried. Big Show even gave Ambrose the Frying Pan Chop!
But their plan backfired once Roman Reigns was able to Superman punch Wyatt in the mouth.
The crowd at the IZOD Center was happy seeing their favorites (and Big Show) one last time. Cena addressed the crowd after his win, echoing the sentiments that had been said by the Superstars in attendance before him. The Brendan Byrnes Arena / the Meadowlands / the Continental Airlines Arena / The IZOD center is a special place for wrestling. Everyone in attendance knew it; everyone at the WWE knew it. They made a tribute video featuring Legends like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels and Ron Simmons talking about their memories of the venue. But more important than the place is the fans. The energy and enthusiasm from the fans in that place can be heard all through New Jersey, no matter the location. And those are the people he wants, the WWE wants, wrestling needs. Check out more photos from this event on our Facebook page.
