So That Happened: #RAW Recap (03/16/15)

Paul Heyman Speaks:

https://twitter.com/WellYoureWrong/status/577650576634163200

Paul Heyman introduces himself, then hypes Brock Lesnar as the single most legitimate, credible, authentic and dominant champion in WWE and MMA, then, now and forever. Heyman brings up Wrestlemania being 13 days away and says Brock Lesnar views this concept of rules in a title match as something that was written by a pacifist. Heyman says Brock isn’t a pacifist; he is a conquerer and a beast. Heyman says Brock Lesnar isn’t coming to Wrestlemania to make love; he is coming to make war against Roman Reigns.

https://twitter.com/adamlucidi/status/577651343483146240

Paul Heyman brings up Brock Lesnar violating the boundaries, asking what WWE will do. Heyman mocks the idea of WWE cutting the feed on the WWE Network or giving the fans their money back. Heyman says it’s impossible and that the WWE Universe is stuck with Brock Lesnar as WWE Champion. Heyman continues to gloat until his mic cuts out again.

Paul Heyman says doing that to him is one thing, but what are they gonna do when they try and stop Brock Lesnar. Heyman says no one can stop Brock Lesnar, especially Roman Reigns. Heyman says Reigns could live up to the hype, then hypes all of Reigns’ accomplishments, but says at Wrestlemania, reality will bitch-slap Reigns across the face and give him a prison beating.

Paul Heyman says people think Roman Reigns is the next Samoan Ameri-CAN, but Brock Lesnar thinks Reigns is the next Samoan, Ameri-CAN’T. Heyman stresses that Roman Reigns can’t beat Brock Lesnar, can’t beat him at Wrestlemania. and can’t beat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

Paul Heyman continues to tell Roman Reigns that he can’t, but gets interrupted by Roman Reigns, who is wearing an “I CAN. I WILL” T-Shirt.

Roman Reigns says he’s got a lot of respect for Paul Heyman, calling him possibly the best talker ever in this business. Reigns says Heyman isn’t talking trash about his family, but he’s just letting everyone know how tough Reigns is and where he’s from. Reigns says his issue isn’t with Paul Heyman, it’s with Brock Lesnar.

Roman Reigns decides to address Brock Lesnar. Reigns looks in the camera and says if he was here right now, he would tell him face to face, but he’s not. Reigns tells Lesnar that he’s not going in here expecting a fairy-tale or happy ending. Reigns is expecting a fight and hoping for a war. Reigns says he’s expected to be carried out, and will have plenty of people carrying him out. But while he’s being carried out, he will be carrying out the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder.

Roman Reigns says he has a huge chip on his shoulder from people telling him he can’t. Reigns calls out the fans chanting for Daniel Bryan as an example, then tells Brock Lesnar that he is going to beat Lesnar’s ass at Wrestlemania, not because he wants to or needs to, but because he can and he will and he believes it.

Backstage: Paul Heyman tells Renee Young that things are getting interesting. Heyman calls Reigns out on being cool, calm and collected. Heyman says he likes it, but wants to throw a wrinkle in Reigns game plan. Heyman tells Renee Young that he will bring Brock Lesnar to RAW next week so Reigns and Lesnar can be face-to-face.

Paul Heyman says Roman Reigns has the opportunity to say anything he wants to Brock Lesnar to his face. But Brock Lesnar has the opportunity to say and do whatever he wants to Roman Reigns. Heyman says Reigns can do that, but he won’t.

Seth Rollins tells Stephanie McMahon if it wasn’t for her sending Kane and big Show home, they wouldn’t be in this situation. Triple H asks Rollins who the hell he thinks he’s talking to and Rollins makes fun of Triple H, saying he’s finally stopped playing hide and seek with Sting.

Wyatt says in that moment, the world’s eyes were open and they felt shame of their nakedness.

Bray Waytt says The undertaker’s loss was a shame and that he was almost brought to tears. Wyatt says this is Undertaker’s fault and now he’s almost out of time. Wyatt says Taker’s fate is sealed and Wrestlemania will be Undertaker’s final resting place and his coronation. Wyatt says at Wrestlemania, he will take his place among the Gods. If I Could Be Serious for a Minute: R-Truth

In If I Could Be Serious for a Minute, we will discuss wrestling with no jokes, no memes.
Gloves off.

There’s been so much concern on this Road to Wrestlemania. Is Roman Reigns ready? Will Brock Lesnar show up? Is Brock leaving for UFC? Can the Undertaker go? Can Sting go? What are they doing with [insert name]? Our concern isn’t with any of that. At least, not right now. Our concern is with the Intercontinental Championship Ladder match. We’re not worried that it’s a step down for Daniel Bryan. If we could be serious for a minute,

we have a problem with R-Truth.

3MB_WWEMSG_20150227_0114Listen, it’s no secret that we’re not fans of R-Truth’s. He was the first recipient of  Boo This Man and, if you’ve read a RAW Recap, you’ve seen our tweets when he appears. His matches are our “bathroom breaks” at live shows and, if we didn’t have to go, we’ve booed as loudly as possible. But those are issues we have with R-Truth in general, which we’ll get into. Specifically, on this Road to Wrestlemania, our problem is that R-Truth has not – at any point – been made to look like he is on the same level as the other competitors in this match. He hasn’t been competing in matches on RAW or Smackdown like the other wrestlers. And, listen, maybe R-Truth is hurt and this is the WWE’s way of covering it up. But, from the photo above, we saw him wrestle Fandango in a match, an albeit brief match, at Hulk Hogan Appreciation Night; this was about the same time that he starting appearing on commentary.

Yeah, this has not been a success.
