2. Snapshots: Keep Calm
We were so wrapped up in the emotion around Wrestlemania Weekend that we never posted our photos from the Raw after Wrestlemania. They’re up on our Facebook page now but that’s kinda crazy, right? It’s because this is a Wrestlemania that never left us. The Undertaker’s streak ended at the hands of Brock Lesnar; Paul Heyman never let us forget it. Daniel Bryan beat Triple H in the first match and then bested Randy Orton and Batista; we didn’t want to forget that. But it’s the tragic passing of the Ultimate Warrior than hangs with us the most. It’s the best and worst of feelings. The weekend was designed around his return to wrestling, making peace with himself and the myth of his persona. His speech at the Hall of Fame, his appearance at Wrestlemania – clearly touched by the outpouring of love and respect – and then his speech on RAW, donning the coat and facepaint on more time, provided him and us closure. The tributes that exploded over the Internet after his passing only proved his point. The spirit of the Ultimate Warrior lived on in us, his fans. It makes this fan sign that we saw at that RAW even more poignant.
We don’t know who created this amazing poster but want to give them full credit. If you know who this is, please leave us a comment.
The main event saw John Cena take on Seth Rollins and Kane in a Street Fight. Rollins tried to give Cena the gift of an early exit but Cena, naturally refused. Never tell Cena the odds, Seth! He’ll overcome them. Several times in this match, Kane and Rollins tried to hit Cena with everything.
They double-suplexed Cena on the entrance-way
Kane hit Cena with the Ring Steps.
Rollins delivered the Curb Stomp to Cena!
Cena would not relent. He responded in kind by delivering a chair shot to Seth Rollins.
and he hit an Attitude Adjustment on Rollins
before locking in the STF on Kane!
It wasn’t enough to put Rollins and Kane away. Before they took advantage of the numbers game, Randy Orton revealed himself to be John Cena’s Secret Santa! Only, his present wasn’t for Cena. Orton delivered 2 RKOs in rapid succession: one for Kane and one for Rollins!
allowing Cena to hit the AA on Kane THROUGH A TABLE!
