Backstage: Triple H is on the phone until Seth Rollins and J & J Security walk up. After Triple H dismisses J & J Security, Triple H asks Rollins what he plans on doing about Brock Lesnar. Rollins wants some advice for Triple H. Triple H’s advice is for Seth Rollins to walk out of Battleground WWE Champion at all cost. Rollins says he has Battleground in the bag and needs some advice for tonight.
Triple H says since Rollins has Battleground in the bag, he could ignore Brock Lesnar so he can make a mistake, but that’s now how Lesnar operates. Triple H tells Rollins to do something no one would expect him to do. Triple H reminds Rollins of Heyman’s 11th Commandment to Seth “Never Intentionally Provoke The Beast.” Seth Rollins decides to call out Brock Lesnar, to show him what fear is all about.
Despite everyone watching thinking this is a bad idea, Seth Rollins confirms his plan to call out Brock Lesnar.
Rusev and Summer Rae Speak:
Rusev says USA loves opportunities. Rusev says he was so inspired by Summer Rae’s apology on Smackdown, that he came out here to apologize himself. Rusev apologizes, then gets cut off by a “We Want Lana” chant. Rusev screams “I Give You Summer.”
Rusev says he apologizes for wasting a year of his life with Lana. Rusev says he apologizes for Americans for taking Lana under his wing and acting like she never did anything wrong. Rusev says he apologizes to Dolph Ziggler for stopping to his level. Rusev says Ziggler is not on his level or strength, and that he is better looking and more passionate.
The WWE Universe chants “USA.”
Summer Rae says the WWE Universe should be showing Rusev the respect he deserves. Rusev tells “Hot Summer” not to waste his words.

Dolph Ziggler and Lana interrupt Rusev and Summer Rae. Dolph Ziggler asks Rusev if his brain is broken. Ziggler says every opportunity Rusev has in the WWE is due to one person: Lana. Ziggler says Lana can whine, moan and complain but he knows deep down he lost the best thing that ever happened to him. Dolph Ziggler mentions the song “Don’t Know What You Got Till It’s Gone.” Ziggler tells Rusev that it’s gone and he found Lana. Dolph Zigller and Lana make out.
Lana and Summer Rae take their shoes off and go face to face.
Rusev destroys Dolph Ziggler with his crutches.
Rusev kicks Dolph Ziggler.
Summer Rae throws Lana out of the ring.
Rusev takes off his walking boot and continues to beat down Dolph Ziggler.
Rusev drives a crutch into Dolph Ziggler’s throat.
