So That Happened: #RAW Recap (06/15/15)

Kevin Owens Speaks:

Kevin Owens says John Cena is not here tonight and if you want someone to blame, look no further than John Cena himself.

Owens says he’s not denying that he played a part in what happened to John Cena, but Owens claims Cena forced him to do that. Owens says after the match last night, when they shook hands, Cena said the most disrespectful thing to him. Owens tells the WWE Universe that Cena said “He belongs here.”

Kevin Owens says he knows he belongs here and knew that the first second he stepped in the WWE ring. Owens says he doesn’t need Cena to tell him or endorse him in any way, shape or form. Owens calls Cena out on being a “bad winner”, saying Cena could’ve walked to the back at MITB, but instead, he stood there and insisted that he shook his hand. Owens claims Cena was trying to hog the spotlight because Cena always has to be a hero.

Kevin Owens says John Cena disrespected him and he did what he had to do. Owens says regardless of what happened last night, he still has a victory over the United States Champion. Owens says he deserves a rematch, but this time when he wins, he wants the United States Title.

Kevin Owens says this is the time where John Cena’s music would hit, but thinks Cena won’t do that tonight, so instead he is issuing an open challenge. Kevin Owens challenges anyone in the back to come out and face him.

Dolph Ziggler comes out with Lana.

Dolph Ziggler says despite kissing Lana, Kevin Owens made his night. Ziggler brings up sacrifice, saying he scratched and clawed for everything he’s ever had in this business. Ziggler brings up Ohio, saying they scratched and clawed for a Championship, and he’ll be damned if he didn’t give them one right now. Ziggler says he wants to face Kevin Owens.

Lilian Garcia almost announces the match for the NXT Championship, but Kevin Owens corrects her saying it’s not an NXT Championship Match, which Byron Saxton is against.

Match 03: Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens launches Dolph Ziggler over the announce table.

Dolph Ziggler drops Kevin Owens with a DDT.

Kevin Owens drops Dolph Ziggler with a German suplex, followed by a Senton.

Kevin Owens goes for the Pop-Up Powerbomb but Dolph Ziggler turns it into the Zig Zag.

Kevin Owens ends up catching Dolph Ziggler with a Pop-Up Powerbomb.

Winner: Kevin Owens

Backstage: Paige talks to the Divas in the locker room about The Bella Twins, saying they need their lives have been dominated by The Bellas and that the Divas need to take a stand Summer Rae brings up Paige’s loss to Nikki Bella, and Paige says it’s not about that. It’s about Divas standing together.

Alicia Fox asks how the Divas are supposed to trust Paige when Paige has turned on every partner she’s had. Paige apologizes for not being the best ally and tries to remind the Divas that this is about sticking together. Paige brings up who The Bellas relationships, then says the Divas have a chance to prove themselves to the WWE Universe, The Authority and the Bellas that they are just as strong as them.

Naomi tells Paige that she can’t stand The Bella Twins and may agree with her, but refuses to be bossed around by Paige. Paige says she’s not trying to boss anyone around, then mentions her 2 on 1 handicap match against The Bella Twins tonight. Paige tries to get some allies for her match, but she is interrupted by The Bella Twins.

Nikki Bella comments on the meeting, then tells Paige that ever since she helped Stephanie McMahon at Summerslam (Brie is not offended by this) she has been Divas Champion and that’s not by accident. Nikki tells the Divas that it’s a free country and if they want to side with Paige, they can.

All of the Divas walk away from Paige one by one. Paige tells The Bella Twins that this isn’t over, but Nikki says it looks like it is. As Paige walks off, The Bella Twins mock the meeting.

Match 04: Randy Orton vs. Kane

#ScumbagSheamus comes out to distract Randy Orton.

Kane makes the match No Holds Barred. #ScumbagSheamus hits Orton with a Brogue Kick.

Winner: Kane

Backstage: Seth Rollins congratulates Kane on his victory, then quickly brags about winning at MITB without Kane’s help. Rollins says that out of all of the doubters in the world, Kane might have been his biggest because Rollins’ success physically pains him. Rollins says his success reminds Kane of everything Kane used to be, a champion, a winner, and someone that used to be feared.

Kane tells Seth Rollins that anyone can win one match, but if you truly want to be the future of WWE, you have to win match after match, night after night and it takes a team to do that. Kane says if he doesn’t understand that, Rollins isn’t an architect to an idiot. Rollins claims he can and will continue to do it on their own, then says someone like Kane wouldn’t understand that since he always had someone holding his hand like The Corporation, The Authority, Paul Bearer or The Undertaker.

Kane grabs Seth Rollins and tells him to never mention his family again or else he will eviscerate Rollins. Rollins tells Kane to never put his hands on him again and hopes that Kane is his next opponent at Battleground. Rollins calls Kane a sad excuse for a human being that needs to be put out of his misery. Rollins walks off as Kane is furious.

Match 05: Big Show vs. The Miz

Ryback mocks The Miz on commentary.

Big Show throws The Miz into Ryback.

Ryback and Big Show staredown. The Miz manages to get back into the ring.

Winner: The Miz (via countout)

Post-Match, Ryback gets in the ring to confront Big Show, but Big Show backs off.
