John Cena Sucks Chants begin.
John Cena says he’s here and the audience who is divided. After a loud negative reaction to Cena, Cena says this is a good time for people who are not in his corner because not only did Cena lose to Rusev, but Rusev didn’t accept his challenge at Wrestlemania.

John Cena tells those people not to stay happy too long, because as much as he’d love to hand Rusev his first loss, if it’s not meant to be, he is going to adapt and overcome. Because that’s what he does. Cena says if you get knocked down, you get back up.
John Cena tells Rusev that he’s a marked man and he will get his hands on Rusev in due time. Cena switches his focus to Wrestlemania. Cena officially enters himself in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle royal.
Stephanie McMahon interrupts John Cena.
Stephanie McMahon calls out John Cena and questions why he is putting himself in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal without permission. Cena tells Stephanie that everybody does and uses Miz, Fandango and Adam Rose as examples.
Stephanie McMahon claims John Cena is trying to disparage the very match this battle royal was named after: Andre The Giant. Stephanie talks about how legendary Andre The Giant is and what he means to the WWE Universe, then shows a picture of her and Andre The Giant and her at 8 years old.
Stephanie McMahon claims John Cena is belittling Andre The Giant’s legacy and tells him “NO” about being in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
John Cena tells Stephanie McMahon that the thing he liked about the Stephanie McMahon/Andre The Giant photo was Stephanie certainly wasn’t the bitch that she is now.
Stephanie McMahon says often women in power are referred to in a negative way, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have the final say. Cena says he wasn’t trying to belittle Andre The Giant and any Wrestlemania Moment is a moment that lasts a lifetime. Cena reminds Stephanie that he is a 15 time Champion, who has been in 10 Wrestlemanias and hoped that would get him in. Stephanie McMahon tells John Cena that he figured wrong.
Stephanie McMahon tells John Cena that he hasn’t been a friend to The Authority. Stephanie says he couldn’t get the job done against Rusev, so maybe WWE needs to find someone who can. Cena tells Stephanie that it’s not about Rusev or Sting, it’s about Wrestlemania. Cena tries to talk Stephanie leaving him off Wrestlemania and Stephanie fires back by letting him know John Cena doesn’t define WWE.
Stephanie McMahon brings up Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold and Bret Hart as examples of people who left WWE, but WWE survived and thrived. Stephanie says the same thing would happen if John Cena sat this Wrestlemania out and thinks that’s what the people want.
After a loud “YES” chant, Stephanie McMahon admits she likes the chant for once. Stephanie McMahon tells John Cena that Wrestlemania will be the biggest show of all time and that Cena is not special or unique. Stephanie tells Cena to think about this: It’s not what WWE would be without John Cena. It’s where would John Cena be without WWE?

John Cena and Stephanie McMahon get interrupted by Curtis Axel.
Curtis Axel says he’s been in the Royal Rumble for 35 days and 26 hours and calls himself the greatest competitor in the Royal Rumble history, often imitated and never eliminated. Axel throws himself in the running to face Rusev at Wrestlemania. Axel knows he’s already in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal, but thinks 2 victories are better than one.
Axel calls Stephanie a visionary, and thinks her words are an inspiration. Stephanie McMahon tells John Cena that Curis Axel understands respect. After a loud “Axelmania” chant. Stephanie says Curtis Axel’s star is on the rise while John Cena’s is falling. Stephanie gives John Cena the opportunity to prove himself by putting him in a match against Curtis Axel right now.

John Cena warns Curtis Axel, saying he has one chance to walk out of the ring. Cena says if Axel doesn’t get out of the ring, and the match starts, Axel will be unable to walk out of the ring. Curtis Axel that if this match starts, he will not walk out of the ring.
Match 03: John Cena vs. Curtis Axel
John Cena destroys Curtis Axel.
Curtis Axel tries to fight back.
John Cena hits the AA and STF on Curtis Axel.
Winner: John Cena
Post-Match, Rusev and Lana come out to the ring.
Lana congratulates John Cena on his victory. Rusev reminds Cena that it’s up to him if he wants to face John Cena at Wrestlemania. After a loud “YES” chant, Rusev reminds the WWE Universe that it’s not their decision to make.
Rusev calls the fans Stupid Americans, then reassures that his decision is “NO.” The Russian flag drops behind John Cena again.
Triple H Speaks:
Triple H says in 1995, he looked Vince McMahon in the eye and says all he wanted was an opportunity. Triple H hypes his success and says he made the most of the opportunity. Triple H brings up the opportunity he gave Sting at Fast Lane, promising to make him bigger than he’s ever been in his entire career, but Sting squandered it all away for a moment at Wrestlemania.

Triple H says he understands that, but Sting chose to do it with the wrong guy. Triple H says Sting will step into the ring with The Game and The King Of Kings and vows to make sure it’ll feel like Sting’s career never existed.

Triple H wonders about Sting never coming to the WWE until now. Triple H mentions JBL and wonders if he has a theory. Triple H turns his attention to Booker T and wonders about his theory as well. Triple H brings Booker T into the ring.
Triple H brings up Booker T’s comments that Sting always wanted to come here, but he didn’t come here because Triple H may not have allowed it. Triple H asks Booker T why he doesn’t think Sting came to WWE. Booker T says he knows Sting and has been down the road with him many times. Booker T says he knows Triple H as well, and knows Triple H isn’t afraid to use his power to get what he wants. Booker T says if he was in the same position, he’d block Sting from getting into WWE too.
Triple H tells Booker T that he thought he was better than that, then compares Triple H to the kids on the internet who think they know everything, but they don’t know a damn thing.
Booker T tells Triple H that Best For Business or not, he can’t control Sting. Booker T says the Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, the nWo and Eric Bischoff couldn’t control Sting and Triple H can’t either. Booker T says Sting is in WWE now, and now he has to deal with it.
Triple H thinks if Sting was so uncontrollable, then he could’ve come here when he wanted. Triple H talks about control, saying that when you have control, you have power, it’s very comforting. But when you don’t, it’s very upsetting. Triple H thanks Booker T for his opinion, then fires him.

Booker T gets his things and starts to leave, until Triple H stops him. Triple H says he’s only messing with him and he’s not fired. Triple H tells Booker T that was an example of what control is and an example of who has control in this situation.
Triple H says he’s been handed an opportunity on a silver platter to end the legacy of an icon, and the last vestige that is and was WCW. Triple H vows to do what he does better than anyone, take advantage of that opportunity and put an end to Sting.

AJ says no one because she doesn’t exactly do what she’s told, but she’d figured she’d come back and #GiveDivasAChance, Paige says she’s been friends, enemies and frienemies with AJ, but she’s always respected her unlike the “Kardashian, Mary-Kate and Ashley Wannabes” The Bella Twins. Paige asks AJ if she has anything to say. AJ says, “The Enemy of my enemy” then tells Paige that she thinks that makes them friends. AJ skips off as Paige thinks this is a good thing.
