Is it a shock to anyone that one of the most anticipated movies of the summer would star Batista? What, you thought someone like the Miz would be in the picture? Marvel’s Summer Blockbuster this year will be Guardians of the Galaxy. Batista plays Drax the Destroyer, a being given a change to avenge the loss of his family at the hands of Thanos.
Drax’s abilities include superhuman strength, semi-impenetrable skin and determined vendetta. Batista is the perfect embodiment of Drax’s spirit. Physically, he’s imposing; his tattoos are a protective barrier and, since returning to the WWE, Batista has exhibited that same laser focus.
