RAW begins with a Mad Dog Vachon Tribute.

Justin Roberts introduces WWE Champion, Randy Orton, who comes down to the ring.

Randy Orton thinks he’s owed an apology from all of the doubters and cynics who thought he wouldn’t show up as the WWE Champion.

Randy Orton says that before he goes any further, he was told the Authority was going to join him at ringside. Randy Orton introduces the Authority, who come down to the ring.

The Authority congratulates Randy Orton, saying that they couldn’t be any more pleased with his victory last night. Triple H tells Randy Orton that when he handpicked Orton to be the future of this industry 10 Years Ago, he knew Orton had the potential to be one of the greatest Superstars in the WWE. Stephanie McMahon tells Orton that they gave him motivation last week and purposely planted seeds of doubt in his mind, because they knew he could rise above it. Stephanie McMahon says that it’s always nice when she and Triple H are proven right.

Randy Orton calls The Authority out on trying to make his victory about them. Randy Orton says he didn’t need their help last night and that although they didn’t interfere physically, he didn’t need them to make an appearance last night during his match with Big Show’s match. Triple H says the reason they came to ringside was because it looked like there was about to be a new WWE Champion. Randy Orton starts to defend himself, but gets pissed off by the Daniel Bryan chants. Orton says he took everything the Big Show had to offer, unlike Triple H. Orton claims he slayed the giant Big Show because he is the Face Of The WWE, WWE Champion and the “Greatest Superstar in the 50 Years That This Company Has Been Around.”

Randy Orton continues to boast that he’s the greatest Superstar ever, and that no one can take that claim away from him. Right on cue, John Cena’s music plays.

John Cena introduces himself as the World Heavyweight Champion to Randy Orton and tries to shake his hand. Cena makes fun of Orton calling himself a giant slayer, and says Orton’s standing out here looking like a piece of-Stephanie McMahon cuts him off.

Stephanie McMahon asks John Cena why he’s out here. Cena responds, saying he’s out here because like the WWE Universe, he is sick of the administrative BS. Cena says the WWE Universe chants Daniel Bryan and “YES!” because they’re sick of guys like Randy Orton being confused little boys.

John Cena brings Randy Orton’s claims of being the greatest WWE Champion and mentions that there are two champions. Cena proposes a Unification Match for both the WWE Championship, and the World Heavyweight Championship. Randy Orton tries to back out of it, but John Cena says this isn’t about them, this is about the Champions. Cena challenges Orton right now in front of the WWE Universe and the world. The crowd breaks into a “YES!” chant.

Stephanie McMahon says normally, she hates “YES!” chants, but she can’t help but agree. Stephanie brings up that her and Triple H have been discussing this for a while, and Orton gets defensive. Orton starts to assume the Authority is plotting against him, but Triple H tells Randy Orton to grow up. Triple H decides to make the match at TLC: John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed Championship in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.
