The Brothers Of Destruction Reunite At The Royal Rumble (Again)

BODSnitsky01_3MB

At the 2005 Royal Rumble, The Undertaker was set to face Heidenreich in a casket match. During a pre-match interview, Heidenreich was interrupted by Gene Snitsky, apparently an admirer of Heidenreich’s work. This was a much bigger deal at the time: RAW and Smackdown were separate brands the Superstars on separate brands rarely interacted.

During the casket match, Snitsky decided to help his new buddy attack The Undertaker. The newly minted bromance took out The Deadman and were all set to roll him into the casket. However, upon opening the casket, “Heidensky” were greeted with a surprise: The Undertaker’s brother, Kane!

Kane took care of Snitsky, allowing The Undertaker to defeat Heidenreich. Despite being a couple of blockheads, Heidenreich and Snitsky were this close to defeating The Undertaker. And they would have gotten away with it, if it wasn’t for that meddling Kane.
