So That Happened: 02/04/13

RAW begins with an angry CM Punk. CM Punk walks out angry, rips up a fan’s Happy Birthday sign, then forces Justin Roberts to announce him as the People’s Champion.

CM Punk talks about his actions last week, saying he was justified and acted like a normal person would act because he was screwed. Punk says the WWE Championship was stolen from him by someone who doesn’t understand or deserve to be the WWE Champion.

CM Punk talks about The Shield, Brad “Heartthrob Ref” Maddox and the video, then leaves the ring and asks the fans and commentators if they saw CM Punk in the video.

 CM Punk defends Paul Heyman, saying that if Heyman wasn’t in the video, then Punk believes him. Punk believes that Vince McMahon set the whole thing up, casting Paul Giamatti as Paul Heyman or it was Paul Heyman CGI.

CM Punk claims that Vince McMahon will paint whatever picture he wants and trashes the fans for believing it. Punk reminds everyone about Brock Lesnar breaking Vince McMahon’s hip and says he got what he deserved. Punk starts to trash the WWE Universe saying that they don’t deserve it, then challenges any fan to face him.

CM Punk says that in a few weeks, he’s going get back his WWE Championship because he deserves it, and The Rock will get a beating because he deserves it. Punk continues to rant until Booker T comes out. CM Punk tells Booker T to leave since he doesn’t belong here.

Booker T calls himself the “Managing Manager of General Managers” then says Vickie Guerrero gave him permission to deal with CM Punk, but Booker is going to leave Punk’s fate in the hands of the WWE Universe.

Booker T since they’re on the Road To Wrestlemania, CM Punk should face one of his former Wrestlemania Opponents:

Booker T tells the WWE Universe to vote for CM Punk’s opponent via WWE App.

RAWActive: Randy Orton pleads his case to face CM Punk.

Match 01: Ryback vs. Antonio Cesaro

Antonio Cesaro tries to leave the ring, but Ryback stops him.

Winner: Ryback

RAWActive: Rey Mysterio pleads why he wants to face CM Punk.

The Shield Promo Package:

Backstage: Vickie Guerrero talks to John Cena about his rumor about him calling out The Shield, comparing his situation to the movie “Death Wish.” Cena reminds Vickie about him winning the Royal Rumble and his Wrestlemania plans, but before he does that, Cena wants to stop The Shield tonight.

RAWActive: Chris Jericho states his claim to face CM Punk on RAW tonight.

Match 02: Santino Marella vs. Jack Swagger (w/ Booker T on commentary)

Winner: Jack Swagger

Match 03: Alberto Del Rio vs. Cody Rhodes

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

Post-Match Alberto Del Rio grabs the mic and thanks the WWE Universe for showing him the error of his ways. Del Rio calls Big Show a bully until Big Show appears on the titantron. Del Rio tells Big Show that he’s a coward since he’s not in the arena, but Big Show says he left because he doesn’t want to tear Del Rio a part limb from limb.

Big Show says he’s in a secret location and demands a rematch against Alberto Del Rio at Elimination Chamber. He wants Del Rio to sign a contract and have someone bring it over to his location for him to sign it. He tells Del Rio to not even think about trying to find him.

Chris Jericho wins the WWE Active Poll!

Backstage: Daniel Bryan and Kane are arguing over their loss to Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara. Bryan tells Kane that he doesn’t want Kane ruining his chances for the Elimination Chamber, so no matter what happens tonight, he wants Kane to stay backstage. Kane reluctantly agrees.

Match 04: Daniel Bryan vs. Rey Mysterio

Daniel Bryan counters the 619!

Daniel Bryan sits up from Mysterio’s “Turd Splash” then puts Rey in the “NO!” Lock.

Winner: Daniel Bryan 

Post-Match, Daniel Bryan celebrates until Mark Henry’s music plays!

Daniel Bryan tries to attack Mark Henry, but is sent face first into the barricade.

 Mark Henry proceeds to destroy Rey Mysterio until Sin Cara tries to interfere till he gets destroyed too.

Mark Henry continues to decimate Rey Mysterio taking Mysterio out with a Vader Bomb.

Backstage: Daniel Bryan marches up to Kane and asks him why he didn’t help him when Mark Henry attacked. Kane reminds Bryan that he told him to stay back so he did. Bryan yells at Kane for actually listening to him. Kane tells Bryan that words hurt and that there’s nothing more than his friendship. Bryan asks “Really?” but Kane says “HELL NO!” then laughs and walks off.

Big Show In The Hotel Pt. 1: Big Show is on the phone with Booker T asking for the contract. Someone knocks on the door and room service asks for him to sign the check. The man wants a tip but Big Show refuses.

Match 05: Sheamus vs. Kane

Sheamus tries his club blows, but Kane counters.

Daniel Bryan distracts Kane, allowing Sheamus to hit the Brogue Kick.

Winner: Sheamus

MizTV with Paul Heyman 

The Miz welcomes us all to MizTV then talks about Brock Lesnar’s return and attack on Mr. McMahon.

Paul Heyman comes out stopping Miz from talking. Heyman says he agreed to be on MizTV to clear his name and will not have someone like Miz soil his good name. Heyman offers his best wishes to Mr. McMahon, but The Miz calls Paul Heyman on his false apology due to last week’s actions.

Paul Heyman says he didn’t order Brock Lesnar to attack Vince McMahon, and if Miz was less preoccupied with MizTV, he would see that Paul Heyman tried to calm Lesnar down. The Miz brings up Heyman paying off The Shield and Brad Maddox and Mr. McMahon almost firing Paul Heyman.

The Miz calls Heyman the most committed liar in his entire life. Paul Heyman is offended by The Miz then says he has questions of his own for Miz. Heyman asks Miz if he thinks Rock should be champion and switches the subject over to Rock/Punk. Miz calls Heyman out on changing the subject, but Heyman says he’ll answer Miz’s questions as soon as Miz answers his.

Vickie Guerrero says Paul Heyman had nothing to do with Brock Lesnar coming out, she did. Vickie says she was secretly negotiating with Brock Lesnar the whole time, but kept it quiet because she knows Brock Lesnar’s track record is…

Vickie Guerrero says she hired Brock Lesnar in an attempt to impress Mr. McMahon and become the permanent RAW General Manager. Vickie finalized the deal last week, but had no idea Brock Lesnar would attack Mr. McMahon. Vickie says she feels terrible and begins to cry, but Paul Heyman starts consoling her.

Paul Heyman says he believes Vickie Guerrero and wants to take a moment to bow their heads in a moment of silence for Mr. McMahon, but Vickie Guerrero suggests praying instead. The Miz interrupts the prayer session with “Reallys” then calls them out on their lying. Miz calls them both bottom feeders. Vickie reminds Miz that she’s his boss, but Miz says it’s only a matter of time before Mr. McMahon fires Vickie Guerrero and Paul Heyman.

Brock Lesnar’s music hits and he comes down to the ring as Paul Heyman and Vickie clear the ring.

Brock Lesnar and The Miz stare down. The Miz foolishly pushes Brock Lesnar, so Brock Lesnar proceeds to destroy him. Lesnar throws two chairs on The Miz.

The Miz tries to fight back, but Brock Lesnar beats him down some more. Brock takes Miz out with an F-5.

Match 06: Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett

Backstage: Matt Striker asks CM Punk where his heads at right now. Punk says that everyone thinks he’s pissed off because The Rock makes commercials and movies, but he’s not. Punk is mad that The Rock walks around pretending to be champion. Punk says that he proves it every day that he is the Best In The World and he will prove it again at the Elimination Chamber.

Backstage: John Cena talks to Matt Striker about calling out The Shield tonight. Cena says he can only get pushed so long before he gets pushed back.


Big Show In The Hotel Pt. 2: 

Big Show is yelling at someone on the phone about the contract. Big Show answers the door and takes the contract from one of Del Rio’s workers. The worker tries to get Big Show to listen to him, but Big Show fails to do that. Big Show hears someone knock on the door, opens it again and gets attacked by Alberto Del Rio.

Big Show and Alberto Del Rio brawl with Big Show getting the upperhand until Alberto Del Rio knocks him out with a fire extingusher. Del Rio walks away.

Calling Out The Shield: Brad “Hearthtrob Ref” Maddox in the ring he calling out The Shield. HTR believes he should be the one taking them out and not John Cena.

Brad “Heartthrob Ref” Maddox continues calling The Shield out but uses a familiar voice.

The Shield’s music plays. Dean Ambrose thanks Brad “Heartthrob Ref” for the invitation but says they don’t need one. Ambrose says HTR isn’t a hero, he’s a rat looking for scraps and shouldn’t even compare himself to The Shield. Seth Rollins says HTR doesn’t even know what Justice is, and that Justice will be giving HTR the beating he deserves. Roman Reigns says last time, HTR’s jumping was business, but this time, they’re going to enjoy it. HTR gets jumped.

John Cena’s music hits and he comes out through the crowd. Ryback’s music hits and he also comes out through the crowd. Same thing with Sheamus.

The Shield tries to escape but The WWE Superstars come out.

Jerry Lawler utters four simple words:

John Cena, Sheamus and Ryback brawl with The Shield but the crowd goes mild.

The Shield escapes.
