Starting with this odd Brock Lesnar tribute!
One of my favorite shows to watch is MTV’s The Challenge, formerly known as The Real World / Road Rules Challenge. The show used to consist of former Real Worlders taking on former Road Rulers in a Battle of the Network Stars kind of thing, but for money. The show has taken on a life of its own: you don’t even need to watch Real World anymore to enjoy The Challenge.
But now there’s a new spinoff: The Challenge: Champs vs Pros will have former Champions / Fan Favorites like Johnny Bananas and CT compete on behalf of charities against Professional Athletes like Olympic Hurdler Lolo Jones and… CM Punk?

WWE Backlash is tonight and we’re all excited for one thing: the debut of “The Artist” Shinsuke Namakura on the Smackdown Live roster.
To go along with that moniker, we found different team’s interpretations of his entrance music, “The Rising Sun.”
Guitar Cover – It Lives, It Breathes
Shinsuke Nakamura is a rock star so naturally a rock version of his theme would fit as well. Anthony Di Biase of It Lives it Breathes awesomely translates the violin part of “The Rising Sun” into an electric guitar. Plus, there’s a full band version where they scream “YEAOH!”
Last Tuesday’s SmackDown Live was the Go-Home Show for WWE Backlash this Sunday on the WWE Network. There is a lot to look forward to at Backlash. Shinsuke Nakamura will be making his SmackDown Live in-ring debut against Dolph Ziggler. AJ Styles will steal the show and possibly the United States Championship in his match with Kevin Owens. The Welcoming Committee will continue their rivalry with Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Naomi. And Jinder Mahal will try to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship when he faces The Anti-Diver, Randy Orton.
With all of these matches building towards Backlash, what was the moment of SmackDown Live that made us more excited for the event? Was it…
Naomi and Carmella’s Kick-Off?
Was it Randy Orton vs. Everybody?
Or was it Erick Rowan being creepy on Talking Smack?
None of these moments were the SmackDown Moment of The Week. That dubious honor goes to….
Last night, WWE made its return to the states and New Jersey as the RAW brand planted the seeds for their next WWE Network Event, Extreme Rules. RAW General Manager, Kurt Angle, announced that since Braun Strowman was injured, the winner of an upcoming Fatal Five-Way Match at Extreme Rules, will be next in line to face Brock Lesnar. These are the participants:
The matches of the night featured Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor
and Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt (With Samoa Joe getting involved again)
But what was the moment of RAW?
Was it Kurt Angle’s French Speaking Abilities?
Or Alexa Bliss?
Or Alexa Bliss? (Not a typo)
As great at those moments were, none of them were the moment of the night.
