So That Happened: The SmackDown Moment (05/30/17)

When RAW brings you down, SmackDown Live builds you back up. This week, SmackDown Live continued to build momentum towards Money In The Bank, with the new matches being added and the return of The New Day. But what was the moment of the week?

Was it the return of The New Day?

The latest installment of The Fashion Files?

Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles stealing the show?

As good as these were, they are not our moment of the week.

The moment of the week is…

The announcement of the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match!

How did this match get made? Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Tamina Snuka, Natalya and Carmella were supposed to compete in a Fatal Five Way Match to determine a number one contender for Naomi at Money In The Bank. These ladies were so passionate to get this started that they beat the crap out of each other.

The match never got started, causing Shane McMahon to come out and make this announcement.

We are happy to see WWE’s “Women’s Revolution” take another step in the right direction. Unfortunately for one WWE Superstar, she had this idea years earlier and won’t be in the match.

Maybe next year, Maryse….
