So That Happened: The SmackDown Moment

This week, WWE seems like it has been in slow motion. It seemed as if this week’s SmackDown Taped Earlier In the Day Live was the Go-Home show, but we still have another week of build left. Regardless, even when the shows are dragging, there is always a moment on the show that sticks out. What was the moment this week?

Was it Becky Lynch getting Charlotte and Naomi on the same page?

Was it The New Day’s video game promo?

Was it Breezango for the second week in a row?

As great as those were, none of these were the SmackDown moment of the week.

The SmackDown Moment of the week goes to….

Sami Zayn struggling to make friends.

If you’ve been following WWE this year, you know Sami Zayn can be a bit neurotic when he is put in six-man tag team matches. Back in January, Sami tried to pump up his teammates Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins on RAW, but was unsuccessful.

This time, on SmackDown, Sami Zayn tried to pump up AJ Styles and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, thinking he would get different results.

He didn’t.

Unfortunately, Team Sami, Orton and AJ lost to Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin and Jinder Mahal (Randy’s fault. Not Zayn’s), but you can always win the next match. It’s much harder to make friends.

We hope Sami Zayn finds a friend eventually.
