We kicked off NXT Takeover with some bad news. Hideo Itami is injured and out indefinitely. Which means Tyler Breeze vs. Finn Balor is now a one-on-one match for the number one contendership.
Match 01: Tyler Breeze vs. Finn Balor
Both Tyler Breeze and Finn Balor debuted new looks for their entrances.
It was a competitive match.
But Finn Balor picked up the win.
Match 02: Dana Brooke and Evil Emma vs. Charlotte and Bayley
Emma completed her transition into Evil Emma
But Charlotte and Bayley were extra positive to balance out all that evil.
Bayley channeled her inner Sami Zayn.
While Charlotte channeled her inner Arn Anderson.
And Charlotte and Bayley ended up victorious.
Match 03: Rhyno vs. Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin won. This is the only gif available. Next match, please.
Match 04: NXT Tag Team Championship: Enzo Amore and Big Cass (w/ Carmella) vs. Blake and Murphy
Enzo and Cass did their usual awesome entrance.
While Blake and Murphy blinded everybody with their new entrance and music.
Enzo Amore and Big Cass tried their hardest.
And would’ve won if it wasn’t for…
So Blake and Murphy are STILL NXT Tag Champions and Alexa Bliss is evil.
Match 05: NXT Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks
Becky Lynch debuted a new look and entrance.
While Sasha Banks continued to PUSH EM ALL OUT THE WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY
This match delivered!
Sasha Banks worked on Becky Lynch’s arm.
But Becky Lynch fought back, channeling her inner British Bulldog.
Becky Lynch displayed some arm work of her own.
But that didn’t stop Sasha Banks.
Until it DID stop Sasha Banks..
But Sasha Banks was able to retain her NXT Women’s Championship!
And now time for the MAIN EVENT!
Match 06: NXT Championship: Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
NXT Champion, Kevin Owens, continued to mock John Cena
While Sami Zayn was focused on revenge.
Sami Zayn took Kevin Owens to Suplex City.
But Kevin Owens didn’t stay there for very long.
The referees stopped the match, but Kevin Owens continued the assault until William Regal got involved.
But then Kevin Owens headbutted William Regal.
After taking out William Regal, Kevin Owens looked to finish the job on Sami Zayn until…
Samoa Joe vs. Kevin had a face-off…
Until Kevin Owens decided to leave and fight another day…
