RAW begins with John Cena.
John Cena says the WWE Universe is getting ready for Fast Lane this Sunday. Cena hypes Fast Lane then says he’s amazed at the sold out crowd in Orlando. Cena says Orlando is RAW.
John Cena brings up Rusev attacking him last week and giving him a scratched cornea. Cena says Rusev has crushed opponents in the past, including himself, but he is saying “No More.” Cena calls Rusev an undefeated Super Athlete, but doesn’t think he’s unstoppable. Cena says his name is John Cena and this Sunday at Fast Lane, he will beat Rusev.
John Cena says to beat Rusev, you have to take the fight to Rusev. Cena says he’s been here for 12 years now and does it all with a smile on his face. Cena talks about how he loves when the crowd cheers and boos him, because RAW is about having fun. Cena says there’s no fun when it comes to Rusev.
John Cena asks about the rumors of him “changing.” Cena says he thought he could always win with a smile on his face, until he met Rusev. Cena calls out Rusev’s claims that Cena lost a step and lacked aggression, then says this Sunday there will be no smiles or high fives, but five fingers slapped across Rusev’s face. Cena vows to make history by beating Rusev this Sunday at Fast Lane and win the United States Championship.
John Cena gets cut off by Lana and Rusev
Lana tells John Cena that he doesn’t get it. Lana tries to call John Cena delusional, but is cut off by USA Chants. Lana tells Cena that he lives in a delusional world, while she and Rusev live in reality and the reality is that Rusev is the Super Athlete and the WWE United States Champion. Lana calls Rusev superior to all the other WWE Superstars, including John Cena.
Lana tells John Cena that she knows he comes back after rough beatings, but this time, there is no coming back from Rusev.
Rusev tells the WWE Universe that he doesn’t need their USA chants and vows to crush John Cena’s spirit and will to move at Fast Lane. Cena tells Rusev that he’s never gotten his ass kicked before, but if Rsuev makes one more move, Cena will kick his ass.
Rusev mocks John Cena’s “You Can’t See Me” and Cena goes charging at Rusev. John Cena and Rusev start brawling.
John Cena takes Rusev down.
John Cena knocks Rusev out with a clothesline.
The referees try and stop John Cena, but Cena kicks Rusev in the ribs.
John Cena throws Rusev into the LED board.
John Cena rams Rusev into the LED board again, and then starts pummeling Rusev while he’s on the ground.
John Cena screams to Rusev that every man can be beat, then celebrates over Rusev.
Dean Ambrose Weekend Update:
Dean Ambrose goes a Weekend Update style segment about Bad News Barrett ducking him in a match for the Intercontinental Title. Ambrose says he beat former IC Champion, Curtis Axel and will do the same for Luke Harper tonight.
Dean Ambrose shows a contract for a match against Barrett for the IC Title at Fast Lane and claims Barrett will sign it tonight.
Match 01: Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper
Dean Ambrose dives at Luke Harper and gets caught with a boot to the face.
Dean Ambrose catches Luke Harper with a Tornado DDT.
Dean Ambrose hits Luke Harper with a diving elbow.
Luke Harper hits Dean Ambrose with a Superkick.
Dean Ambrose goes for the Rebound Clothesline, but gets caught with a spinning side slam.
Dean Ambrose starts to fight back.
Dean Ambrose catches Luke Harper with the Rebound Clothesline,
Dean Ambrose hits the Dirty Deeds on Luke Harper.
Winner: Dean Ambrose
Backstage: Triple H is telling Kane to make the right impression and not the wrong one until Big Show shows up. Kane asks why Big Show is here. Big Show asks why Kane is here and the two get into an argument over their match at Smackdown. Triple H separates them, saying this has been going on since the Royal Rumble. Kane says they had a plan but Big Show was too stupid or selfish to go with it.
Big Show starts making fun of Kane again, then brings up “May 13th.” Big Show and Kane get face to face until Triple H separates them again.
Triple H says Big Show and Kane represent The Authority, and says when they fight it him look stupid. Big Show fires back saying asking if he looks as stupid as what Sting did to him last week. Triple H tells Big Show and Kane to make it right tonight, with no excuses.
Bray Wyatt Speaks:
Bray Wyatt is holding a nail says what happened to “him” was a tragedy that stirs a rage deep inside of him. Bray says this makes him want to do horrible things. Bray calls this person an empty shell and any fear that he once had has turned into nothing more than hateful pity. Wyatt says it’s coming.
Backstage: Goldust tries to talk to Stardust, saying that this isn’t a place where he wants to go. They are interrupted by Dusty Rhodes.
Dusty Rhodes says that the Rhodes Family is broke and he wants to fix it. Stardust does the dust thing, but Dusty says that’s what he’s talking about. Dusty says for weeks, Goldust has been trying to get through to him, but he will.
Dusty Rhodes tells Stardust that everything believes in means nothing without family and no matter what goes down, he loves them both.
Goldust asks Stardust if he can do this. The two shake hands and hug.
Match 02: The New Day vs. Gold and Stardust
Stardust jumps off the top rope and almost hits Goldust. Goldust gets caught with the Trouble In Paradise.
Winners: The New Day
Post-Match, Stardust reluctantly helps Goldust get to his feet.
Stardust and Goldust hug…until Stardust hits Goldust with the Cross Rhodes.
Backstage: Byron Saxton asks Roman Reigns about his journey. Reigns says he had to go through 29 other guys, then he had to face the YES Movement and now he has to face Brock Lesnar. Reigns says he doesn’t have time to focus on the journey and it’s about the destination. Saxton asks about The Authority manipulating him. Reigns says The Authority didn’t manipulate him, and that The Authority tries to ride the wave of public opinion to get Seth Rollins in the position and he didn’t work.
Byron Saxton asks about Daniel Bryan. Reigns reluctantly says Bryan had an opportunity and he took it. Saxton calls Reigns out for hiding his responses then asks him if he has more respect for Bryan after teaming with him on Smackdown. Reigns says he has a ton of respect for Bryan, but says the only reason Daniel Bryan got into this match was because of him. Reigns says if he was in the Rumble, and got eliminated, unlike Daniel Bryan, he would’ve taken it like a man. Roman vows to take the opportunity away from Daniel Bryan.
Backstage: Dusty Rhodes confronts Stardust about his actions. Stardust says Cody Rhodes is gone because he was destined to live in the shadows of a polka-dotted freak of a Father and embarrassment of a brother. Stardust calls this situation a Beautiful Disaster and says it’s what caused Cody Rhodes to explode. Stardust tells Dusty Rhodes that Cody Rhodes is dead and as far as he’s concerned, so is his Father.
