Zach Looks Back: Royal Rumble 2011

– Tyler Reks. One half of a one week stripping tag team with the underrated Curt Hawkins! Well, he had dreads and the reverse Cena finisher, otherwise a quick toss out by New Nexus. Last scene in a tag match in PWS, sadly not against Starman or Habib from the Car Wash. (Quits: 1-15)

– Vladimir Kozlov. Well, HHH and Taker tried to put the Moscow Mauler over. I’ll always remember him for his tea party with Santino looking like Mr. Bean. I also just watched him as a heavy in the Wire, so he’s got that going for him over the other 39 guys in this match. (Released: 1-16)

– R-Truth. The year before, he dumped out Big Show and Mark Henry simultaneously. He then turned heel, smoked in England, and got reamed out by Undertaker for being late to Elimination Chamber practice (Thanks Chris Jericho’s book for the info!) Somehow, the second active competitor who may be in the 2015 Rumble… (Active, somehow: 2-16)

– Great Khali. Ah, the Punjab Playboy. I wrote plenty about his agility and charm in his Punjabi Prison match, so I don’t want to repeat myself. Khali was quietly let go this year, and is now apparently the most terrifying cop in India! (Released: 2-17)

– Mason Ryan. Well… he debuts by kicking Punk, then is accepted into the Nexus. He goes to NXT and dominates a battle royal, and that was that for him. Also currently seen in PWS, and no not against CPA or The Revolting Blob! (Released: 2-18)

– Booker T. It’s the tremendous “I’m Marking Out Bro!” call. Poor Matt Striker, good job at NJPW. Anyhow, each member of the Nexus stood still as Booker did one move to each. He then spinaroonies, right out of the ring. Currently promoted to commentary on RAW with JBL and Michael Cole. (Retired: 2-19)

– John Cena. Lets Go Cena! __________________________ (You fill in that blank!) Cena single handily does what Cena does and eliminates basically everyone in the ring at this point. #LOLCENAELIMINATES (Active: 3-19)
