In Highlight Reel, 3MB will look at funny and interesting wrestling videos
So much happened on Monday Night RAW this week: returns, turns returns and turns. In case you missed it on television or our RAW recap, Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger came out to confront Lana and the Bulgarian Brute Rusev. The crowd embraced this new side of Colter and Swagger and all 50 states joined in unison to un-ironically say, “We The People!”
If Jack Swagger in en route to becoming a Real American, the final piece of the puzzle would be getting the official endorsement from Hulk Hogan and the right to use Rick Derringer’s “Real American,” the most American song in wrestling.
Or… he could be like Kenny Powers and just take it.
On Eastbound and Down, when Kenny Powers made his return to the baseball (in Mexico), he decided he needed a grand introduction. So he had his gopher / friend Stevie procure a donkey, some fireworks, an American flag and, of course, “Real American”
Powders Powers channels not just Hulk Hogan but several other wrestlers like the middle fingers of Stone Cold Steve Austin and the crotch-chopping expertise of Degeneration X. Plus, he wears the American Flag like a cape/capelet, making him both Kurt Angle and “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived” Austin Aries! I’m sure Powers would argue that he is the greatest man that ever lived but that’s expected.
Celebrate like a Real American Today!
