The Amazing Spider-Man was the number one movie this weekend, already making $140 million in six days. While this reboot does not devote a lot of time on Spidey’s wrestling connection like the 2001 Spider-Man film does, it does touch on it slightly. However, for further information, please check out Spider-Man’s Tangled Web #14.

The Tangled Web series focuses on the villains in the Spider-Man universe. #14 does not focus on a villain exactly but it is centered around Crusher Hogan (Bonesaw McGraw in the film version), the wrestler Spider-Man faced on that one fateful night. There’s an additional wrestling connection with this issue. It was co written by Scott Levy AKA Raven AKA Johnny Polo AKA He doesn’t want you to remember he’s Johnny Polo!
If you can’t find the single issue. it’s also available in the paperback trade, Spider-Man’s Tangled Web Volume 3. It’s definitely worth checking out!
