So That Happened: Kings Of Leon vs. Wrestling Fans

When wrestling fans think of Kings, they have many options. The King Of Harts, Owen Hart. King Harley Race, Macho King, King Mabel, Hacksaw King Duggan, Many of the King of the Rings, King of the Cruiserweights Neville, King Barrett, the King of Kings, Triple H, King from Tekken, and the list goes on and on. The last group that wrestling fans associate with the word King is the Kings of Leon.

Until Sunday night when Kings of Leon bassist, Jared Followill, decided to tweet this jab at wrestling fans.

Yes. You read that correctly.

We don’t know why Jared would tweet that out. Maybe he was bored. Maybe he just wanted to use somebody. Maybe he is also still upset that Roman Reigns retired The Undertaker.

Regardless, once Jared tweeted that out into the universe, he wasn’t greeted by the thousands of Kings of Leon fans. He was greeted by angry wrestling fans.

There were many reactions to Jared’s tweet:

Some were not amused:

Some offered false support:

Some just hit Jared with the RBF (Resting Bliss Face)

Or the Resting Rock Face

Some easily dismissed Jared’s tweet with better Kings:

Some just thought the tweet was trash:

Some had two words for Jared:

No not those two words.

There we go.

As for us? We let Jared know what we think of the Kings Of Leon catalog.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but shame on you, Jared for trying to shame us wrestling fans.

And despite Jared trying to backtrack:

The damage was already done.

We hope Jared Followill learned a valuable lesson.

Now, let’s get back to what really matters. Funny pro-wrestling mashups.
