So That Happened: #RAW Recap (11/01/15)

Due to popular demand (or unpopular demand, we really don’t know), this will be the format of the RAW recap going forward. Enjoy! Let us know what you think!

RAW kicked off with Roman Reigns, who came out to hype his Survivor Series Main Event against Seth Rollins. Reigns called Rollins good but hates Rollins due to all of his backstabbing. Reigns vows to defeat Rollins at Survivor Series and become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Seth Rollins interrupts and says Reigns is good, but not as good as him.

Rollins gloats that he beat Reigns at Wrestlemania 31 to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and that as good as Reigns is, he will always be remembered as second best. Reigns challenge Rollins to get in the ring and face him now. Rollins almost accepts the challenge but is interrupted by The Authority. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon tease Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tonight, but instead Stephanie makes the title match for Survivor Series.

After joking about Colorado being high, Triple H brings Survivor Series to RAW a little early by making a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match with Team Reigns vs. Team Rollins.

Throughout the night, Seth Rollins was show recruiting his team. First, Rollins recruited Intercontinental Champion, Kevin Owens (who just finished defeating Dolph Ziggler.)

Later, Rollins was approached by The New Day, who volunteered to be Rollins’ partner for Survivor Series. Rollins claimed he needed one more person, but through the power of Unicorn Magic, Xavier Woods has been brought back by The New Day!

Now that Xavier Woods was back, Seth Rollins had his official team. The New Day celebrated by chanting “Team Rollins” in New Day fashion.

For the Main Event, Team Rollins was ready to face Team Reigns. The New Day came out first, calling themselves the definition of the word “Survivor.” Their reason? The New Day survived The Dudley Boyz, Xavier Woods absence and their favorite band, reality show, book, movie (Actually the Last Unicorn) and Destiny’s Child song are Survivor.

Followed by Kevin Owens (Who The New Day rocked out to)

then Seth Rollins (Who The New Day REALLY rocked out to)

Team Reigns was next. Roman Reigns came out first, followed by the returning Usos,

Reigns’ best friend Dean Ambrose…and Ryback.

The Usos quickly took out Xavier Woods.

Then Kofi Kingston.

After The New Day was taken out, Big E defended his Unicorn friends’ honor by eliminating the returning Jey Uso with the Big Ending.

Jimmy Uso was next. He was eliminated by Kevin Owens with a Pop-Up-Powerbomb

The remaining members of Team Rollins got the upper hand on Team Reigns. Unfortunately for Team Rollins, Big E is eventually eliminated by Ryback.

Team Reigns’ momentum didn’t last long as Seth Rollins quickly eliminated Ryback with a Pedigree.

It came down to Team Rollins (Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens) vs. Team Reigns (Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose) Team Rollins looked ready to eliminate Dean Ambrose until Seth Rollins accidentally kicks Kevin Owens in the face. Ambrose eliminates Owens with the Dirty Deeds.

It’s down to Team Reigns (Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns) vs. Team Rollins by himself. Rollins tries his best to escape, but Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns keep stopping him from escaping. Rollins gets away from his former Shield members after hitting them both with chairs.

Seth Rollins gets ready to recreate The Shield beatdown of 2014 until Roman Reigns takes Rollins out with a Superman Punch.

The Divas Fatal 4-Way:

The other hyped match of the night was Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks vs. Brie Bella vs. Paige. The winner would go on to face Charlotte at Survivor Series for the Divas Championship. Before the match, Becky Lynch spoke with Renee Young about the match and facing the real “B” in Team PCB, Paige. The two of them get interrupted by Brie Bella, who declares that she’s going to win the Fatal 4-Way and not Charlotte’s “Wacky Sidekick.” Becky fires back by calling Brie Bella, “Nikki’s Doormat” Sister. Renee Young approves.

Sasha Banks also had an interview with Jojo, which involved no fistbumping. Jojo asked Sasha if she felt pressure to deliver in the match due to the “We Want Sasha” chants. Sasha told JoJo that it’s obvious that the crowd wants her and that she always delivers. The Boss gave Charlotte a warning and declared that she was taking over.

Each competitor had their favorites and supporters.

These ladies put on a great match.

Although Sasha Banks came close to finally winning…Paige won and will face Charlotte at Survivor Series.

After the match, Paige calls Brie Bella, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks losers, and says if anyone cheers them, they’re loser too. Paige tells Denver that if they cheer “Baby Flair” AKA Charlotte, those people will be losers too. Backstage, Charlotte responds that Paige keeps beating the same “Baby Flair” drum, but anytime someone says that, it only makes her stronger. Charlotte says when she goes one-on-one with Paige at Survivor Series, Paige will learn the hard way that Charlotte earned the Divas Championship.

Before we get to the last main part of RAW, here’s what else happened:

The Lucha Dragons picked up a surprising win over King Barrett and #ScumbagSheamus

As mentioned earlier, Kevin Owens defeated Dolph Ziggler (With help from Tyler Breeze)

Post-Match, Dolph Ziggler tried to get a measure of revenge on Breeze, but he was once again taken out by the duo of Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae.

Cesaro made quick work of The Miz while Stardust and The Stardust Seciton looked on.

And Jack Swagger made his triumphant return to find out what’s up with Zeb Colter and his new MexAmerica group with Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio interrupted and warned Swagger to stay away from Zeb.

Later in the night, Alberto Del Rio made us a believer in MexAmerica by stomping out R-Truth (Who is not welcome in MexAmerica)

Now onto the final big moment of the night…Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family updated us on the whereabouts of The Undertaker and Kane.

Bray Wyatt claims he and the family have successfully harvested the souls of The Undertaker and Kane. Bray claims he now has inconceivable power.

Bray Wyatt proves this by making the arena rain thunder then fire.

Bray Wyatt vowed to summon the Earth and burn the world straight to hell. Wyatt displays more powers by playing a video of The Undertaker and Kane.

That’s it for RAW, folks! Be on the lookout for another recap next week!
