We mentioned before that people like to draw CM Punk. One artist, Chris Haley drew CM Punk for “reasons.” Well, we found out the reason why; he made a t-shirt!

And not just any t-shirt, a t-shirt that is both a tribute to the Straightedge Superstar and to the X-Men comics. After all the dust settled on Avengers vs. X-Men, some of the mutants were seen wearing shirts that said “Magneto was Right,” referring to Magneto’s differing opinion on the human / mutant dynamic that affect’s their portion of the Marvel universe.

Charles Xavier, founder of the X-Men, believes that Humans and Mutants can co-exist peacefully while Magneto believes that Humans want to Eliminate mutants. It’s a less popular opinion, which suits CM Punk fine: when he’s not the Voice of the Voiceless, he’s the Voice of the Less Popular Opinion. If Punk were a Mutant, he would most likely be a Disciple of Magneto’s. Incidentally, CM Punk has his own connection to the Marvel Universe: he wrote the forward for the hardcover collection of Avengers versus X-Men.
Let’s support Chris Haley, CM Punk and Magneto by buying the “Punk was Right” shirt from Chris’ Society 6 Page. If Punk is right about Wrestlemania 29 and makes The Undertaker 20 – 1, then this shirt is the souvenir of that. If Punk loses, don’t worry: it won’t be long before Punk is the lone voice about something else. Who knows? He might even wear it himself at the next press conference. He tends to make a statement at those.
