Highlight Reel: CM Punk and Chris Hardwick

In Highlight Reel, 3MB will check out funny and interesting wrestling videos.

When CM Punk isn’t taking on the hordes of competitors in the WWE (his WWE Championship reign is over 365 days), he’s reading comics. This seems logical since his title reign is somewhat heroic in this current WWE environment it is more likely that his love of The Walking Dead inspires the new and creative ways he eliminates his challengers. Knowing this, and through a combination of his own lobbying and the producers of The Walking Dead TV Series, CM Punk was a guest on The Talking Dead, a that discusses The Walking Dead episode that airs right before it. For the episode “When the Dead Come Knocking,” Punk appeared alongside Yvette Nicole Brown, Shirley of NBC’s Community. This is of course, after passing the initiation:

Yvette may have fared better in the picture above but “The Voice of the Voiceless” lived up to the title during the discussion. Punk found himself defending the behavior of divisive character Merle. It was during this lively discussion that host Chris Hardwick and CM Punk bonded over similar childhood experiences. There’s a slight SPOILER ALERT regarding something that happened to Merle in Season 1. Apologies if you haven’t scene it yet.

The trio got along very well (see The Talking Dead Bonus Video for more proof) to agree to be guest on Chris Hardwick’s Nerdist Podcast. Whether they will appear together or separately remains to be seen. All we know is we’d be lucky to have any of these 3 in our Zombie Party. And this puts Colt Cabana one step closer to challenging Chris to a Podcast on a Pole match.
